Jamie Vardy Looks Back on Leicester’s Title Winning Season | You Know Ball

Jamie Vardy is known as one of the best attackers in England, but his rise to the top has been a true story of perseverance. After being rejected by Sheffield United at age 16, he went on to become a factory worker. He continued to push for his dream of becoming a professional footballer by playing for clubs in the English seventh tier. Then in 2012, Leicester City signed him for just $1.3 million, and the rest is history.

With 24 goals and 8 assists in 2015-16, he was a crucial part of Leicester City’s incredible Premier League title. Among those goals, was a 30-yard volley against Liverpool, a goal Vardy has said is the best he’s ever scored. But how much of the goal does he remember? We put his memory to the test in You Know Ball.

    He's alright is Jamie.

As a Leicester fan I often worry that he may not get to be acknowledged for his contribution to both English and world football. He won't go down with the greatest stats, simply because he was so late to the big time, but this piece got it totally right when they said an "icon" of the English game.

    A breath of fresh air.

Of Liverpool GK's for me Dudek and Karius wear black, Reina and Mignolet Green, and Alisson Yellow, also David James had absolutely ridiculous looking kits don't associate him with any colour.

Alright, what was the name of the fan in section 15, seat A3 when you scored?
Vardy: Ah, trick question! Nobody, Gareth Johnson went to the bathroom just a minute before I scored.
