DEBATE: Should Leicester City SACK Brendan Rodgers?

After all this time I solely believe that Rodger’s deserves the sack. Yes he’s had to play Amartey but that’s his own fault. He’s completely fallen out with Çağlar Söyüncü, the best Turkish international and you’re telling me he isn’t even on the bench anymore. The problem with him is that he takes his personal issues into the world of football. Unacceptable, Brendan out

Why does every outlet that reports on Leicester’s situation never mention that we’ve invested shitloads of money in our training facility and we’ve just had confirmation of an expansion of the KP to 40k? We have no money also because of that, not just because of covid (although obviously King Power was hit hard by covid)

Speaking as a Leicester fan, he definitely needs to go as others have said the football has been dire for 18 months. For one of the 5th place finishes that is lauded by non-fans, we gave up a 15pt lead at christmas on 5th place. Whilst recruitment is not entirely his fault, he chose to bring in Lee Congerton (who's been $hit everywhere he's been) rather than trust a system that has worked for years. So much of the owners hardwork undone by an arrogant little man.

If Leicester will to sack him, they have to pay him $10 million in compensation!!! Are the board directors willing to pay that much!!?? Also who will need to replace him!?? Not an easy issue to solve!!

7 league wins this calendar year speaks volumes. He doesnt know how to arrest the slump.
Tactical and positional decisions at times have been baffling at times. He has thrown away points numerous times by taking our motm off and changing system when we were dominant.
Recruitment has been generally poor too. We have moved away from what made us successful. Massive contracts mean we cant shift them. We have available cash but no squad space or wage budget to pay new signings due to this.
He has thrown owners players and even fans under the bus to save his reputation and honestly looks like hes waiting to be sacked for his own massive contract to be paid off.

Squad harmony is shot, many of our players have either downed tools or want out. Rodgers himself said it isnt the same club he walked into, i dont think he is self aware enough to realise his team is the main difference.

He needs to go. It doesn't make him a bad manager, sometimes change is just needed. I don't think he can pull them out of the current run. But the longer this goes on the less he can avoid blame. The set piece thing in particular is bizare

Rodgers has a repeating pattern of starting strong and then gradually getting worse and worse. It happened at Liverpool, it was happening at Celtic before he left, it's happening now. His lack of capability to continually progress a squad is not one of circumstance it's a character trait. You could give him more time sure, but where is the evidence in his history to suggest he can improve upon this situation.

King Power ain't king more, especially since the pandemic screwed financial capital necessary to fight for transfers in the PL. Just look at their transfer activity. Also, many have innovated tactics, like Brighton, Brentford, and Leeds, while Leicester stood and watched. It's not all Rodgers fault, but yeah, recent transfers didn't largely work, and they kept players on relatively high wages for so long as to prevent them leaving. Madison and Vardy for 6 figures, while Raphinha had far less?
They better scrap for something right now, but they won't so long as Brendan's there. Time to go, the only big issue is that 8 digit compensation that King Power must pay Rodgers to sack him.

As a Leicester city fans the worrying thing is that it isn't just these opening games that we have been struggling under Rodgers it's been closer to 12 months if not slightly longer, I'll always be thankful for what Rodgers has done for the club, but something has got change sooner rather than later

They looked a lot better against Spurs compared to previous games, they had a lot of control at times and were tracking back/pressing so much more but still seemed to crumble. It's a very odd situation.

You'd assume he'd be the next one to go but look at how long Bruce got at Newcastle..

He’s just about to have a run of great fixtures if he loses against a forest then he should go imo, he’s had to be play the likes of arsenal, spurs (no excuse but still), give him 1 more game
