Everton have always had a solid defence. Stats wise they are as gokd as the top 6 for defence. Its always been the creation and execution of goals due to awful forward that has been the issue.

Statistically teams with the best defence always survive relegation battles wheraeas teams thay have wide open matched and score goals but concede lots are the ones who go down. Just look at the table again. The worst defences are the ones at rock botto.lm

Everton had two styles of play home and away. This idiot talks like we played on dychball style all game. He even said the defence now looks solid. Everton had a decent defence across season so far. Issue is scoring, In lat 4 games Moyes has put out a team scoring 8. Dyche took 12 games to get that goal tally (in all competitions). Anyway, what do we expect from the media. Just like Liverpool get a pen for a slight accidental tap, and betto is kung fu body-checked off the ball and gets nothing. Zero consistency. Change the badge change the treatment and conversation about whatever happens.

  3. @mero.sombrero

We could win the lot and they’d just say Everton got lucky cause every team in the league was poor that season 🙄 but that’s alright Moyes will continue to prove them wrong

  4. @alanwainwright79

Piss poor analysis here. Doesn’t anyone do their homework? TC speaking absolute drivel about Everton defensively, doesn’t even know the names of the players. WTF!! Zero credibility by this lot.

  5. @mikeconstantinou-g1w

Been solid at the back for 2 seasons.. notary has connected the back and middle and middle and front with fullbacks flying down the wind. Leicester were blown away and it coukd have been 5 or 6… watch the games or keep quiet, it’s embarrassing

  6. @horsehollerer

So sick of media pricks scolding teams lower in the table for poor defending (in the case of Leicester here). Or for suggesting teams lower down in the league only ever win when the opposition perform terribly (in the case of Everton here). You insufferable clowns are part of the money train monster that created the disparity in wealth in the Prem. Just f o.

  7. @JW93.

"You see them against brighton you know what there about" what a stupid comparison to think we would play the same against Brighton AWAY to Leicester at HOME

  8. @Maxpefc8

Haha did he even watch the game we controlled and passed the ball round the only long ball we played all game was the first pass by Pickford try giving us credit

  9. @SK-ox6xq

Cascariono, you are an idiot. Let's not forget your preachings that Moyes could not get anything more out of a poor squad than Dyche. That's why you are an overpaid pundit who couldn't get a proper job in football.

  10. @swagger105

Why don’t these idiots give Everton and Moyes credit, we beat Spurs, Brighton Leicester all these every games it wasn’t Everton played well it was the other teams playing bad 🤣🤣🤣 if Trent had done that pass garner done to Salah it would have been the best pass ever that split the defence and pure class, these so called experts haven’t got a clue.

No Tony, it’s not just ‘tweaks’ that Moyes has implemented. Poor punditry.

The key to Moyes’ major change at Everton has been the introduction of Jake O’ Brian and use of a back three. This has enabled the wing backs to advance, thus giving the wingers and midfield more outlets and options. Also the instructions to push up 5 to 10 yards further and thus get more players to advance into the opponents half and penalty area. Night and day from Dyche’s doomsday negativity.

  12. @martinp485

Cascarino is an appalling pundit. Doesnt know the Everton players names and literally has no idea what Moyes has changed at all.

Literally stealing a living this guy.

  13. @JDE1995

Cascarino analysing the Everton v Leicester game just from MOTD highlights and pretending that he watched the whole game. We actually played good attacking football and dribbled rings around Leicester, even if they were poor, but we did kill the game off after 6 minutes.

  14. @mbvenetianplastering8617

Don’t sound too upset cascarino the blues are playing to the ability they have now under moyes we was being held back and told they wasn’t good enough to go attack sides under dyche

If you was a half decent pundit you’d know that already and talk about this side having ability and not sound so upset we are doing well now under a good manager

  15. @user-zi7ep9jz1d

We beat Southampton nine nil a few years ago ,who did we buy Vesstigaurd ,one of the slowest footballers that i have ever seen ,not only that we gave him an another contract ,why . fAES is the worst defender to put on a foxes shirt ,i dont blame Cooper or Ruud ,its the owner and a guy called Rudkin , we buy old clapped out players and put them on long contracts ,madness .

  16. @Rugbymanager3

You always know when Everton are on the right track. Once most media start crying about Everton saying Everton only win because every team they beat is poor then we on right path. Same when we had Joe royle dogs war. And Roy evens Liverpool manager and the other so called bigger clubs were crying that we were kicking them of the park
