Last time I was in Leicester was 9 years ago. On the 31st of March I'll be returning by train in first class from London but when I lived in Derby first class return was just over £14. My favourite place in Leicester is Belgrave road (in which I will be visiting during the stay here)

The station car park used to be busy with passengers being dropped off or picked up along with taxis. Looks empty now.

The redevelopment is going well (not). I believe they close paces and pulled them down before having a plan or contractor to actually do the work. Soulsby seems to be a brick short of a load!

Observe the handiwork of Soulsby and Clarke. Paved over. Made inaccessible to private vehicles. Constant paving works ongoing, paid for by us. During the pantodemic, every parking bay was dolled off to be paved later. They killed it for their agenda 2030 bosses and shat on their neighbours. People want a quality shopping experience – Fosse Park is only 4 miles away and is thriving. Those pair of fucking clowns ruined their own city.

I was born and raised in Leicester. It was vibrant and had character with an industrial mix. Now, it has been completely ruined by destroying old buildings, replacing them with inappropriate modern monstrosities, and a once proud city turned into a soulless shit hole.

Back in 1996 when I was 16, I did work experience in that Tesco shop at 3:40. It was Sheehan’s music shop back then – I sold violin strings and guitar plectrums to customers. I always think of that place when certain songs come on the radio, as my cousin used to drive me into town and we’d have the radio on in the car.

I knew this place many years ago. It was just about 100% white with some Europeans, mainly Poles and Ukrainians from World War 2 who integrated so well you wouldn't know unless they told you. Now this place is unrecognisable in every way. The population has completely changed, the industrial base has been destroyed… if it wasn't for the expanded polytechnic (called De Montfort University) and the 'proper' Leicester University there wouldn't be anything worthwhile left.

    As an old bloke
It's nice to see familiar faces and have a beer in the afternoon
But it is run down and turning slowly into a set on Blade Runner.
Getting work has become increasingly difficult and the racial diversity has become distinctly divided over parts of city.
Indians one side Polish and Romanians British and Black people peppered in-between.
    Few British run shops

Leicester n'est pas la ville la plus intéressante de Grande-Bretagne !
Il n’y a pas de monuments célèbres et plus de la moitié de ses habitants vivent en dessous du seuil de pauvreté.
