    Even as a Wesley fofana fan and a chelsea fan, I am very skeptical on this deal and I am scared we are massively overpaying . I certainly believe that we should back tuchel with whoever he wants, but I am also not stupid. I know that Leicester are rinsing us for cash just because he signed a new contract. He isn’t worth 80-90m and it’s showing. Like I said, I am a fan of Wesley, but I’m not gonna act like this is something we should pursue rn. Imo I think the best way to go is to buy a solid RWB that is really good, and put Reece in at RCB. He should start shifting there imo because as much as he is a very good creator, he is starting to show signs of non progression when it comes to that RWB side, because he constantly gets marked out and can’t do anything else besides cruyff turn when he can’t cross because it’s blocked, and then he’s forced to pass to a midfielder over and over. I would much rather we invest in other positions that are needed, and have Reece as sort of an overlapping CB, which is how we play either way, when we hold possession and when we are on the counter. It makes more sense for longevity and it solves his injury issues he’s having. People ain’t gonna wanna hear this but it’s true 🤷🏻‍♂️. Fofana is someone we shouldn’t go for esp for that much, but I wanna back my coach. He will have to deal with the harsh consequences from the fans and board, if this doesn’t work. It’s too risky but hey, if it works out then people will forget about the price tag just like with chilwell.
