You correctly predicted a switch to a back four, unfortunately Cooper decided that he would STILL not bother sorting out the midfield. Instead of going for the 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 diamond which you suggested and which would be the obvious choices given how we've been getting overrun in midfield and completely incapable of protecting the area in front of the defence which Premier League teams exploit so efficiently and ruthlessly (especially when the midfield two becomes one or zero when we've been getting counterattacked) he went for a 4-2-3-1 which was more like a 4-2-4! Seriously running out of patience with his failure to address these glaring issues and set the team up properly. Wasn't until the 70th minute (3-0 down) that we finally got a midfield three (Freuler, Yates and Mangala).
This should have been sorted after the Bournemouth game – didn't bother, then the Fulham game – didn't bother and still didn't bother until this game had already gotten away from us.
Nice one Max. I think Leicester are better than they have shown so far and I think they will stay in the PL, I just hope they don't start to recover from their bad start tonight. I think we've got good players but I have big concerns about integration of all the players we've signed which needs to start ASAP. I don't envy SC with that task. This is a big chance to get a decent performance in and hopefully get a goal or two against a struggling defence and build some confidence. Our own defensive issues need sorting though we can't keep conceding 3 goals a game. I know he doesn't give as much going forward but I think toffolo did help give better defensive cover. Definitely need o brien starting aswell he's probably the best signing so far. We got to sort defensive frailty out though, some goals we've let in have been school boy football stuff. I'm going for 2-2. COYR
